SUNDAY, SEPT 10-THURSDAY, SEPT 14
FREE BIKE SAFETY CHECK WEEK
AT LAS VEGAS CYCLERY
10575 Discovery Drive, Las Vegas, NV

Get your bike safety checked for free anytime between 9am-6pm Sunday through Thursday. Repairs, if needed, will cost extra. If you think your bike is going to need repairs, be prepared to leave it for a couple of days. Safety is very important for this race because we have some fast downhills and some rocky rain debris on the roads. We ordered a street sweeper from the county but because of the recent rains, they said they would try to get here before the event but they couldn’t promise anything.

FRIDAY, SEPT 15, 2pm-6pm
PACKET PICK UP
AT LAS VEGAS CYCLERY
10575 Discovery Drive, Las Vegas, NV

Come to the bike shop on Friday night to get your race packet. The reason it’s important to get it before the race, is that there are several things in there that you will need in your preparations, like your bike plate, race bib, arm band and race number. It would be hard to get all that done in the morning rush on the day of the race. If you absolutely can’t do it the morning of the race, then you can pick up your race packet on race day, if you bring a credit card and can pay a $10 late fee. This late packet pick up will be at the Cottonwood Cafe restaurant because it is the only place in the village with internet.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
RACE DAY
PARKING IS OPEN FROM 6:00-7:00am

Parking will be available along the county baseball park (on the Castalia Street side only) and in the dirt lot across the street. There will be signs and parking attendants to help you from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ALONG THE RACE COURSE. Plan for about a ten minute walk from parking to the event check-in. Don’t forget: triathlon gear, strollers, backpacks, wallets, keys, and cameras.

CHECK IN AND TRANSITION AREA IS OPEN FROM 6:30-7:30am

Check-in: will be held on the Saturday morning of the event, beginning at 6:00 a.m. You may pick up your Race Packet on Thursday and Friday at packet pick up at the LVC bike shop from 2:00-6:00pm. You are required to check in before you set up your transition. You will not be allowed into transition without your check-in materials. This includes a bike safety check, so it’s best to get this done in advance if possible. No repairs will be able to be done on sight. Please double check your information such as race division, distance, name, number, and age with the check-in hosts.

Arrival Time: Check-in opens at 6:30 a.m. Check-in will take longer to get through the later it gets. We suggest checking in early enough to allow time to set up your transition and get to the required athlete meeting at 7:30 a.m. You must be race-ready at the athlete meeting, because you will stay in the pool area from then until your start. The Check-in table will be in front of transition. To check in, you must be already registered to race. There is no Registration on race day.

Release Form: You will be asked to sign a release form at check-in, so if you are under 18, you must also bring your legal parent/guardian along to sign it as well.

Parent Assist Category: If you are racing in the Parent-Assist category, you must tell the check-in host to add you to the parent-assist list, even if you’ve notified someone prior to check-in.

Placing Race Numbers, bibs, bands, etc.: You will be given a few items at check-in or packet pick up the night before. Place them according to instructions so they are easiest to see by course officials and lap counters.

Bib: The bib is to be pinned on the front of the t-shirt or running shorts or race belt before the race (safety pins are available at check-in). Do not pin the bib to your swimsuit or swim with it. Just pin it to the shirt you will be putting on after the swim and keep it on for the rest of the race.
